Find The Light Tour, Blackberry Smoke in Greensboro April 11th

Southern Rock Powerhouse Blackberry Smoke stops in Greensboro Wednesday, April 11th. Blackberry Smoke is promoting their latest record “Find the Light” this is their second self-produced album and sixth album to date.

The single, “Flesh and Bone” is a greasy, stomping, slide-guitar-packed tune with a IV section that recalls mid-period Led Zeppelin. The key-jumping guitar solo is a tight, reverb- and delay-packed gem—a composition within a composition. Like most of the band’s most beloved tracks, it was written by frontman/guitarist Charlie Starr.

“The new album is a melting pot of Blackberry Smoke music with a wide range of sound and emotion,” Starr says. “I think it’s our most inspired work yet.” With sounds influenced by Black Sabbath, The Allman Brothers Band, JJ Cale, The Band and others who define rock ‘n’ roll in all its many facets.

In addition to Starr and band members Richard Turner (bass, vocals), Brit Turner (drums), Paul Jackson (guitar, vocals) and Brandon Still (keyboards), the album features Robert Randolph (“I’ll Keep Ramblin’”), Amanda Shires (“Let Me Down Easy”) and the Wood Brothers (“Mother Mountain”).

You do not want to miss Blackberry Smoke they continued to rock and grow with over 16 years of music, forming in 2001. The quintet’s blue-collar work ethic road-dog attitude, has fan growing and you do know want to miss them at Cone Denim Entertainment Center Wednesday, April 11.
